Come join the King's Countrymen on an adventure of a lifetime
as we explore Nashville, Tennessee and
Music in the Smokies!
We will start our journey as we board our deluxe
motor coach transportation and set out for Indianapolis, Indiana.
Sit back and relax as you watch the scenery unfold before you in
the comfort of our motor coach, or recline and take in an onboard
movie. Our first night's accommodation will be in Indianapolis,
where we can rest and prepare for the exciting days to
follow.
The next day we will depart for
Nashville,
Tennessee (better known world-wide as "Music City").
Once in Nashville, we will have some free time downtown to explore
the many exciting shops and restaurants that line the streets,
tour the Ryman Auditorium, or Tootsie's Orchid Lounge. Or you may
choose to discover the past with a tour at Fort Nashboro on the
Cumberland River Bluffs--all on your own and at your own pace.
One of Nashville's most beloved attractions will
be our next stop: the Country Music Hall of Fame, with immense
collections and exhibits to explore. Our deluxe hotel
accommodations for the next two nights will be in Nashville, and
we will enjoy an entertaining Bluegrass show at the world-famous
Station Inn, a local club. The next day we will have a full day's
admission to the Texas Troubadour Theatre for the annual Bluegrass
Gospel Showcase hosted by the Sullivan Family. You can come and go
as you please with your ticket. Other nearby options to explore
are the Wax Museum, Opry Mills Mall, Opryland Hotel, Grand Old
Opry, and many fine restaurants.
The following day we will depart for
Pigeon Forge,
where we will have a full day to journey through Dollywood: Dolly
Parton's Smokey Mountain World of Music. Here you will find
something for everyone: music and entertainment, rides and
attractions, fine shops, and specialty crafts.
From Dollywood, we will depart for our hotel
accommodations in Pigeon Forge. We will start out the day by
taking a leisurely drive to Lexington, Kentucky. In Lexington, we
will visit the Kentucky Horse Park--take time to wander through
the American Saddlebred Museum and the International Museum of the
Horse, view some of the many thrilling equine presentations
throughout the day, and see over 50 breeds of horses.
After the Kentucky Horse Park, we will travel to
Indianapolis for our last overnight stay. In Indianapolis, we will
have a special stop at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. The
Indianapolis Motor Speedway is home to a 2.5 mile track and hosts
the Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400, and Indianapolis Grand Prix.
Then, as we journey back home, there will be plenty of time to
reflect on our fabulous adventures traveling together with the
many new friends made along the way!
