Hi
Bluegrass Gospel fans!! We are the King's Countrymen! Based in
west-central Wisconsin, we perform at fairs, festivals,
concerts, nursing homes, retirement centers, Bible camps, and churches
to share the love of God and bluegrass gospel music with audiences
of all ages. From nursing homes to Nashville, Tennessee and
everywhere in between, our group of dedicated Christians has been on
the road for the Lord since 1994. Our message of God's love is mixed
with a touch of humor and testimony, and we hope to share that with
all of you. Come and join us along the way!
Our mission:
1 Corinthians
3 vs. 6-9

| The
leader for the Countrymen is Lorn Schultz. Playing rhythm
guitar and singing lead and some harmonies, Lorn also serves as
M.C. for the group. Lorn's wife, Kristi, serves as sound
technician. Making their home in Mondovi, WI, this couple enjoy
a 42 acre hobby farm setting with miniature horses, miniature
donkeys, American Saddlebred horses, a couple of dogs and one
cat. Lorn is recently retired from Buffalo Co Hwy Dept. after
34 years. Kristi is a Registered Nurse for the past 39 years and
currently employed at St. Joseph's Hospital in Eau Claire, WI . |

Playing guitar is George Cordwell from Withee, WI.
George will also fill in on the ole "dog house bass" now and
then too. As a strong Christian man, George has many things, both
testimony and humor, to share with audiences wherever we go.
George works as a diesel mechanic for his day job, and we are
very grateful to have him as our main mechanic for the bus! He and his
wife Elvada live in rural Withee, WI. Along with a regular day
job, they have a large produce garden where they grow many
varieties of vegetables for the folks in their area. If you
drive by their home you will see the large produce stand where
Elvada spends much of her time throughout the summer. Don't
forget to ask George about his many projects and inventions,
including the famous TRAIN at the Buffalo River Valley Bluegrass
Gospel Festival! |

Banjo player Dan Cavanaugh from Eau Claire, WI . Dan is originally from
Kansas and spent 25 years in the US Army as an Army surgeon. He
now retired from Sacred Heart Hospital where he worked as a surgeon
for Marshfield Clinic. A little
over 8 years ago, he was somehow enticed to pick up an old banjo
that had been in the closet for over 10 years and learned to
play it, and is now excited about joining the King's Countrymen
in their ministry. He and his wife Pam are a great addition to
the group. |

Our bass player (and relief bus driver and all
around helper) is Mary Pimblett. Before starting with
the King‘s Countrymen, Mary played with blue grass bands in her
home state of Virginia, and in
Illinois,
Iowa,
Indiana and
Wisconsin. She is happy to call Eau Claire home now, and
can usually be found in her backyard garden on summer evenings.
Mary works as a full time chiropractor in
Eau Claire. She is happy to be able to share her concern
for others in both her work and her music. |

Kathy
Krug is starting her 46th year as a
Hairdresser,
and is currently working, and has for the last 16 years, at the
Cameron Hair Studio in
Cameron, Wi. She hopes to
retire at some point so she can play more music. Kathy has
played fiddle and mandolin with the Blue Hills Fiddlers and
Pickers for 22 years, starting the group with George and Ruth
Meuret of Haugen, in Kathy's basement, because it was so much
fun. During those years they played many places entertaining for
various things like Festivals, Nursing Homes, Community events,
and Dairy Breakfasts. George Meuret, 93, who is a championship
contest fiddler, taught her to play the fiddle, and she is very
much influenced by his many years as an Old Time/Bluegrass
fiddler. She also plays mandolin in her church for their
Contemporary Services. For the last 6 years she started a
Bluegrass Gospel jam session in her church once a month that is
very successful, which also lead her to start a
Bluegrass Festival at the
Pioneer Village Museum in
Cameron Wi.
in July. Kathy feels very much lead by God to share her
abilities that He gave her, and looks forward to being a part of
the King's Countrymen. She says all things happen for God's
reason's and by His timing, and she feels God has put her in
this place,at this time, to share her fiddling---not just play
for her own amazement! She says you are never too old to listen
to God's lessons, or to share your time and talents that God
gave you!

You may see Jim Williams many times at the product table.
Jim is a very good friend of the King’s Countrymen and enjoys
traveling with us too. (Especially when there is food
involved). Jim and his wife Gloria live in rural Mondovi, WI.
Jim fills in for our sound technician on many occasions when
Kristi is at work and does a fine job at the CD table helping
folks with all their questions about the products. He and
Gloria are very involved in organizing the Buffalo River Valley
Bluegrass Gospel Festival hosted by the Countrymen held each
July. Be sure to stop by and chat with him at the table!

God has blessed
The King's Countrymen with talents they wish to share with people they
meet. They hope that something they may say, sing, or play may help
encourage and uplift someone on their daily walk with God.
We
hope that we may be able to meet and greet many of you fans along the
way in the days to come.
Until We Meet,
God Bless,
The King's Countrymen
