The Faris Family

 

Faris Family is an award winning Bluegrass and Americana band from America's Heartland. The family includes Bob and Michelle Faris and their four sons. Brothers James (23), Richard (22), Edward (20), and John (19) are featured extensively during family appearances. Since their first out of state appearance in 1997, Faris Family continue to build a solid touring schedule. Today they average 180 dates on the road each year in 24 states.They have appeared on local and cable TV stations in Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana, and Kentucky and have performed live on radio stations in Nebraska, Kentucky, Arkansas, the Kansas Public Radio Network, and syndicated radio show 'WoodSongs Old Time Radio Hour' which airs over an affiliate network of 300 stations worldwide.

 The family maintain their connection with the Ozarks. For the past seven years they have appeared annually at Branson's 'Silver Dollar City' and are a mainstay of festival stages throughout Arkansas and Missouri.They have received 12 top honors in the last 5 years from the fan-based membership of the Society for the Preservation of Blue Grass Music of America (SPBGMA). In 2007, they were named 'official' showcase artists by the IBMA Talent Selection Comminttee to the IBMA World of Bluegrass Business Conference in Nashville, TN.

 Having grown up touring together, the family bring a decade of professional experience, award winning music and a fresh youthful excitement!
