JIM & KARINA GLASPY have been in bluegrass all their lives and been in full time bluegrass gospel ministry for 12 years. They are originally from Texas and transplanted to Missouri in August of 2005. Jim is an ordained, licensed Southern Baptist minister. Karina is also a licensed minister. The Glaspy’s surrendered to come to Missouri and start a church, which is what they have done for 3 ˝ years in Branson. JIM GLASPY: was born into a fine bluegrass family and has been performing on stage since 1967 before he even started school. Starting in the living room and moving into professional touring in his early twenties, Jim has played concert halls and bluegrass festivals all over the US. Jim has performed with such musical greats as the Dilliards, Mac Wiseman, The Cox Family, Albert Lee, Chubby Wise and Gov. Jimmy Davis. Jim is an accomplished musician acquiring national status on the dobro in 1988, Texas State Flat- Picking Guitar Champion in 2005. Doug Dillard is quoted to say,” Jim is a superlative musician and singer. He has a great artistry when he performs.” Jim plays a large genre of music from Jazz, Folk, and Bluegrass. Jim was born again in November of 1993 and surrendered to the ministry in 1997. Jim was licensed in 2000 as a minister. KARINA GLASPY: has been singing all her life. She is the daughter and granddaughter of Pastors. She was born again in 1985. She performed with the Hinsons at age twelve, started writing at age thirteen. Karina has been performing bluegrass and gospel music professionally since 1988 when she met and married Jim Glaspy. She has performed at festivals and on stages across the country. The Glaspy’s music is played worldwide. Karina was nominated in 2008 for Female Vocalist of the Year from the SHMA. Some of her critics have described her voice as “haunting, silvery, pure and refreshing”. KATEY GLASPY: was born to play music! Katey has been performing with mom and dad since 2002. She is a very accomplished, vocalist, writer and upright bassist. Her vocals have been described as angelic. She is 19 years old and graduated Branson High with honors and now attends College of the Ozarks in Branson, MO. ABBY GLASPY: is a songwriter well beyond her 15 years. She is also a great rythm guitarist and working on dobro. HUNTER GLASPY is 14 years old and plays an awesome set of spoons. Hunter plays bass and guitar also. Hunter is a comedian; he studies Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin and Danny Kay. He does great vocal impersonations and dances. |
